VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING
Position Summary
The Vice-President of Marketing is responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and control of all marketing functions at the group/division level. Ensures that superior marketing services are available to both internal and external guests. Works with peers to develop a consistent and cohesive marketing plan including theme, product, position and image.
Essential Responsibilities:
Hires, motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs departmental managers that possess the aptitude to provide excitement, as well as deliver world-class service, in order to ensure that Team Members receive sufficient leadership, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
Develops database-marketing strategies in conjunction with property marketing teams to ensure effective program results.
Maintains constant awareness of the latest gaming regulations and works closely with regulatory authorities and various internal control staff members to assure regulatory and operational practice compliance.
Reviews activities in the players’ club, entertainment/special events and marketing operations in order to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters that influence quality guest service and profitability.
Monitor and evaluate department in order to ensure the proper planning for short and long-term strategies; monitors and evaluates performance of the operations in order to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
Collects and analyses relevant market data, and applies useful data as the foundation for sound strategic business decisions
Create direct marketing campaigns; monitor and modify to ensure maximum profitability is achieved.
Evaluate the performance of all marketing strategies to ensure re-investment rates are maintained and achieve acceptable profit margins. Assist in special analysis projects as required.
Compile monthly volume and revenue figures in the preparation of market share analysis to facilitate managerial decision-making.
Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving company goals and objectives.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA) in finance or marketing, plus one to two years background in analysis (preferred), and/or through the completion of an Associate's degree, in addition to four years of experience in database marketing is required.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Familiarity with current analytic tools, good presentation skill, and personal and mini-frame computer competency required.
Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.
Must meet or exceed all regulatory conditions stipulated for individuals holding this or similar positions.
