Brantley Gilbert – Jul. 10
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA
Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified
“Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York Times, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is. FIRE & BRIMSTONE, out now via The Valory Music Co., is Gilbert’s most mature and complex exploration of his world to date. His current single “Hard Days” is available everywhere now, and featured on the newly released FIRE & BRIMSTONE (DELUXE EDITION). Staind – Jul. 16
Fresh off the release of their first album in nine years, Live: It’s Been a While, Staind is back in a big way. This album was recorded in 2019 during a reunion show and was released May 1. In addition, this heavy-rock band has seven studio albums under their belt and is said to be currently working on a new album expected in 2022. Throughout this band’s decades-long career, they’ve notched platinum albums and multiple Billboard #1 hits. When frontman, Aaron Lewis, isn’t rocking out with Staind, he’s pursuing his solo country-music career.
Shinedown with Pop Evil – Aug. 14
Shinedown has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and has topped the billboard mainstream rock charts more than any other band with their 16 no. 1 singles. Shinedown released their latest album, Attention Attention, in 2018 and standalone single “Atlas Falls” in 2020, with plans to release a full album later this year. Rock out your summer and catch some new tunes with Shinedown at Battery Park.
Pop Evil is a Michigan-born rock band. They just released their sixth album, Versatile, on May 21. Out on tour, Pop Evil will bring their heavy-hitting style of rock to Battery Park this summer. Pop Evil was formed in 2001. They put out their first independent album in 2004, War of the Roses. In 2009, they signed with Universal under the Republic imprint. The band has toured extensively, headlining shows of their own.
Nelly – Aug. 28
Nelly has been churning out hits you can’t help but dance to for decades. His unique, genre-defying style blends hip hop, country, dance, rock and R&B. Nelly’s music has been the soundtrack to many summers. With three Grammy wins and dozens of more awards and nominations, Nelly has been recognized as one of the Country’s most-loved artists. With seven studio albums, two compilation albums, one remix album, 48 singles and more, Nelly has been turning out hits for decades. His latest single, “Lil Bit” with Florida Georgia Line was released in late 2020 and his most recent live album, Country Grammar Live, was released this past Feb. in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Country Grammar. This is a show that you don’t want to miss!
