New Hampshire Group Demonstrates Commitment to Community by Volunteering at Boys & Girls Club of Manchester
Manchester, NH – Jan. 30, 2024 – Team members of New Hampshire Group, which operates several charitable gaming facilities across the state, showcased their dedication to community involvement as 18 employees volunteered their time at the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, contributing to the betterment of the organization and the children it serves.
The day began with a tour of the facility, allowing New Hampshire Group team members to gain a deeper understanding of the Boys & Girls Club’s mission. The New Hampshire Group then joined the Club’s staff to clean several buses and other vehicles essential for transporting children to and from school, in addition to special field trips throughout the year.
"This service project made a huge impact for our Club and our kids! Last year our buses transported kids over 21,983 miles, so having help maintaining them is critical for our programs." said Diane Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester. “Our full-time staff is small but dedicated, and to have this many people come to volunteer and assist with a thorough cleaning makes a huge difference! We are so grateful to New Hampshire Group for their time, hard work, and dedication to the Club and its members.”
In addition to their volunteer efforts, New Hampshire Group made a significant impact on area nonprofits in 2023. Their properties, including Filotimo Casino in Dover, Filotimo Casino in Manchester, Wonder Casino in Keene, Lebanon Poker Room & Casino, and Northwoods Casino in Berlin, collectively donated over $9 million to New Hampshire-based nonprofits through charitable gaming.
New Hampshire Group has a longstanding tradition of making positive contributions to the communities in which it operates.
“We are about more than just writing checks; our goal is to get involved, volunteer, and get to know the organizations we serve through charitable gaming,” said Aaron Gomes, New Hampshire Group’s Chief Operating Officer. “Our goal is to be a committed partner with New Hampshire charitable organizations, and that includes boots-on-the-ground volunteering and in some cases, some elbow grease to help out. We are looking forward to continuing our mission of providing entertainment and giving back in New Hampshire.”
Fitzpatrick emphasized the immense impact of New Hampshire Group’s support.
“It makes a huge difference,” Fitzpatrick said. “We serve over 500 children a day in the Greater Manchester Area, and to be able to have so many people come and spend part of their day helping us to maintain our facility really helps our staff and has a tremendous impact.”
