HHR TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR

Position Summary

Assists with direct supervision of HHR operations at all locations. Plan and execute gaming projects at all locations. Acting HHR Shift Supervisor/Manager when required.

1. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established Company

Policy, State and Federal regulations.

2. Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests.

3. Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for team members.

4. Maintains security and always protects Company assets by adhering to Company policies and all state and regulatory compliance including Internal Controls Policies and Procedures, The Responsible Gam-ing Plan and Title 31, and performs all job duties in a safe, professional and responsible manner.

5. Assists with establishing department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintaining other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.

6. Assists with hiring, motivation, training, coaching, mentoring and directing staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.

7. Positively affects interactions with guests and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

8. Have knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and be able to determine proper payouts.

9. Assists with establishing department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintaining other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.

10. Responsible for ensuring that all department paperwork is completed correctly. These include jackpot slips, appropriate tax documents, guest claim forms. Candidate must ensure that all forms have the required signatures.

11. Reports activity daily and coordinates with HHR operations on location; including customer activity and proactive repairs and maintenance, HHR moves, diagnostics and any unusual activity.

12. Inspects, maintains, and repairs HHR machines as well as bill exchangers.

13. Responsible for periodic maintenance, equipment testing and service calls for HHR machines.

14. Assists in monitoring the HHR system.

15. Assists in training of HHR technicians and occasional assistance in troubleshooting various HHR machine malfunctions. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities.

16. Effectively handles customer concerns and requests, ensure that all HHR machines are functioning properly and are available for play.

17. Addresses and manages complaints, or concerns from guests and team members.

18. Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided to all HHR operations on location and to the HHR Technical Manager.

19. Ensures that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards. Issues written and oral instructions; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to HHR operations policies and procedures.

20. Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.

21. Monitor HHR technician and HHR Operation reports from all locations to provide support, On-call support when needed.

22. Daily and overnight travel required between locations, using a Company vehicle to provide support, perform projects, and to provide training to the HHR Technicians and HHR Operations Team.

23. Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.

24. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.

25. Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving Company goals and objectives.

26. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

27. Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.

28. Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

29. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in electronics or related field preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an HHR Technician / Bench Technician with A+ Certification preferred.  Combinations of education and experience may be considered.     

  • Required competencies include initiative, time management, decision-making, communication proficiency and organizational skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, or equivalent applications and menu-driven programs is required. Knowledgeable in creating spreadsheets or similar data reporting. 

  • Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels and varied light levels including flashing lights.

  • Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.

  • Must meet or exceed all regulatory conditions stipulated for individuals holding this or similar positions.

  • Assists in managing subordinates and coordinating day-to-day activities.
