DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
Position Summary
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and directing all aspects of engineering, facilities, EVS, and grounds in accordance with company policies and standards. Overseen construction projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests.
Hires, motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
Monitors and evaluates all reporting functions to ensure proper planning for short and long-term strategies, including budgeting, staffing, planning, and goal setting.
Establishes and maintains department objectives, standards, procedures and budget in accordance with company policy to ensure the proper management of department.
Produces annual budgets, monthly financial statements and other report as requested.
Establishes a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure that all equipment and systems are running efficiently and maximize their life expectancy.
Coordinates capital projects requiring construction of equipment installation and bids the projects out accordingly.
Ensures compliance with all safety standards and codes (OSHA).
Coordinates inspections, permits, and licenses for the property including elevators, fire suppression systems, fire alarms and general safety and code requirements.
Maintains accurate records for condition of equipment and all systems for continued and uninterrupted operation of the facility.
Responsible for ensuring that all company equipment and property is maintained, operational, in safe working order, and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Communicates with fellow executives to maintain consistent procedures, guidelines and practices; informs company management of potential liabilities and problems.
Maintains an open line of communication to identify and address Team Member and departmental concerns.
Resolves problems that are within the position’s scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the positon’s supervisor.
Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
Daily travel may be required between locations, to provide support, perform projects and or provide training.
Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving company goals and objectives.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or related field or plus 7years progressive experience; or, a minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience; or, other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Complete understanding of facilities, maintenance, engineering, environmental services, and grounds.
Must have knowledge of construction contracts, documents and be able to administer projects.
Knowledge of all life safety, mechanical, electrical equipment, HVAC, chiller, boilers, and be familiar with local, state, and federal laws and codes (OSHA).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, or equivalent, applications and menu-driven computer programs.
Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels and varied light levels including flashing lights
Must have prior experience in gaming or hospitality environment.
Familiarity with current analytic tools, good presentation skill, and personal and mini-frame computer competency required.
Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.
